A source in the travel industry said ebookit ran out of funding and its offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore had stopped offering air tickets, hotel accommodation and car rental over the Web. Before it was shut down, the site was considered one of the best travel sites in Asia and used technology from Worldspan, the reservations system owned by several United States carriers. |

Seemed to me even previously one of the most profitable e-commerce model doesn't work. Meaning Click + Mortar doesn't work in travel industry. Just take a look at "name your price" model dot-coms, same case. |
