Linked to IceRed?
Written by James Martin from Hong Kong on 3/8/2002

How come the "Join Discussion" on Gorilla Asia somehow directly linked to IceRed's corporate board? Does Gorilla Asia become one of IR's subsidiaries? Or do they have a close door deal?
Btw, the new look really looks unprofessional and many missing links.

Almost dead!
Written by Dan River from Hong Kong on 12/9/2001

Gorilla Asia is almost dead, they stopped update the content since Nov, 2001. Where is Frank huh? Well, he can't even keep up with his own Internet Report at IG! I don't understand why it didn't take Informage's founder's advice and merge with them, I think Gorilla Asia is going to close after its brother very soon! |

No updates

Why the site has been no updates since it's restructure early this year? Disappointing! |

Closing down it's on-line operation?

I heard from my friends about the recent restructure of Gorillasia. I used to go there several times a week, especially I like check out the latest articles and love to look at the gallery sections (coz I am curious to know how those dotcom founders look like). About 3 months ago, I stopped visiting the site frequently, actually MyInfoage ceased to operate on the time as well, I wonder what’s going on in this industry!!! |

Gorilla have pushed the envelope in Asia
Written by Cartoon from Hong Kong on 12/19/2000

All companies are going to undergo changes at some point particularly at this time - I believe they have a vision and a future. Gorilla have pushed the envelope in Asia with reporting that is not based on reworking a press release and conferences that are insightful. What else can they be compared to. they actually get out there meet the people, the players and provide outside of the box information. Any company that takes a risk, is going to stretch at times.

False hopes from Gorillasia!
Written by Analyst from Hong Kong on 12/15/2000

The problem with Gorilla, no vision, no creativity, and false hopes. The company is so focused on venture capital and startups that it is doomed to die. "The life and death of a dotcom" is Gorilla's story. False hopes because they still try to convince people at their conferences that there is still "gold in dem dere VC hills" |

Shall I say Gorilla Asia is the only on-line magazine I read about dot-coms in the region, they have such high profile friends such as Jay Chang from CSFB and Gorilla Asia's event is always on the best spot in town. Btw, the site design is simple and very easy to use, this serve the purpose that helps me to locate what I want immediately. |
