Even consulting fim is in trouble!
Written by Analyst from Hong Kong on 11/29/2001

As the advertising-supported, B2C and B2B models fall out of favor with both venture capitalists and angel investors in Hong Kong, some local companies have begun touting a new revenue model in order to bring in badly-needed cash: e-solutions, but they still failed, just like Lemon recently massively laid off its staffs in the region. The mainr reason is no MNC would want to pay a huge amount of money in building a Web site these days especially after 911. |

We know this going to happen!

We know this going to happen, Sales never make a contract but stay in the office today. The crucial mortal reason for Lemon is the unhelpful people never making a contribution, but only because they are the relative ot good freinds of the management. This is the critical point of a condemnation. In simply, this company is going to close up without any hesitation. All ex-lemons, look for tomorrow, use your talent and grateful not to waste the time in the fatal Lemon anymore. |

Lemon laid off 70% of its staff today!

Today a lot of dead wood was let go. Some of the staff in Lemon should have been fired a long time back. Too many of them were playing politics and pretending to do their jobs! Sure it's sad to see some people go, but we all have to face the realit. I'm still here, but I am not sorry to see some people leave. |

Consolidation is the key

Lemon recently acquired the bankrupted Internet consultancy Mercatela in win-win style. I think this kind of phenomenon is going to happen in many of the dot-com arena, such as auction sites, portals and B2B sites. The bigger in this case sometimes mean survivor and winner of the game. Lemon has good clients and they have added the consultancy expertise to their team and hopefully, it’s going to last. |

Only two left!

E-business consultancy firm Lemon Asia has agreed to take over the customer contracts and intellectual property of beleaguered rival Mercatela Hong Kong, which is in voluntary liquidation and worth a fraction of its former value. To me, seemed there will be only two left after the consolidation, Lemon and Ion Globe, btw, I forecast they too will be merged together in order to survive just like their US counter parts. |

Lemon has successfully finished our project last month. I must say Lemon has done a great job as being one of the top professional Internet consulting firm in Asia. Their staffs are efficient, cost effective and very knowledgeable about every single detail in Asia e-market. I would recommend Lemon for your next Web based project. |
