one of my favorites

I'm an Asian American from NYC who has lived in Asia for the last 3 years. This is the most reliable source of info that i've come across--without the mickey mouse nature of most sites--meaning it's for people over the age of 30. I travel a lot and I am a closet 'cook' at home so I really appreciate the insight without the wordiness of most travel sites. I like the wireless availability too. |

Perfect for Travel Research

I am resubmitting as my submission. we hear about this site all the time from our consumers. As an Asian, I can see how western travel writers don't value this site esp. back packers or guys wanting sex tours. As a high end Asian travel writer, I like knowing what locals in each country think++all the historical info. I can't think of another site that combines up to date info, regional coverage and history etc. Name one?? |

Top Pick For Business Travellers
Written by Jason Sim from Hong Kong on 7/28/2001

I'm a travelling business person and this is the only site I use in Asia, it's 100% up to date, consistent from country to country and the feedback is most certainly not the usual 'pat' junk from travel writers. I know why travel writers hate it, this is going to cost a lot of them their jobs and kick backs they so enjoy. |

Disappointed to be even selected!

I've never heard of doasia, how can it be listed on this prestige-ranking site? Hellow? As a travel writer, most online sites are pure garbage that are only cheaper renditions of travel agents, but certainly ones that i wouldn't look to for advice. Btw, doasia was very disappointed because they are not known and the content is not good. |

Zagat meets Fodors

I just moved from NY and I admit to being a Zagat junkie. So happy to see that someone started this out here and incorporated it with info other than dining. can't wait to travel with doasia.. |

5 stars content site for dinning.

All I can say is that doasia is one of the most interested place to visit for dinning recommendation. However, the speed is a bit slow from KL, Malaysia. Other than that, everything seemed top of its class. Good job, guys! |

Good Job!

I paid S$70 for doasia's premium service. I get updates on restaurants that I'm interested in, certain bars etc. In places I travel, diversions is a newsletter monthly, It's pretty good but needs photos, and they give pretty honest advice online. They aren't pushing packages like everyone else so it's a very balanced source of info. it's not perfect, but what is and minimally there is an opinion not the usual travel fluff. |
