I-Quest Down! Sigh!
Written by Violet Tam from Hong Kong on 7/15/2001

The global dream of I-Quest business model finally melts down with the dotbombs demolished. Their attempts to listed on GEM was also gone forever and seemed Asian hotels doesn't buy their in room Internet access services. More and more hotels are willing to share risk with providers did not happen quickly as expected. What US$22M was gone with the wind. Btw, they have a good management team, but established under bad weather. Sigh! |

Reliable Info
Written by Kalbo from Singapore on 2/14/2001

A real good source of information for business travelers and expats in Asia and Europe. The PDA guides, city maps and unified messaging are especially good. On the downside, there is no real hotel booking to speak of. |

I am very glad to see "Daddy of Hong Kong dotcoms" Larry Campbell is leading the firm and I am sure worldroom.com will be as successful as Larry's previous project SCMP.COM. |

Larry Campbell, the Internet Pioneer
Written by Tony Liang from Singapore on 8/11/2000

Larry Campbell, now the CEO of worldroom.com who has been involved in the Internet in one way or the other longer than most anyone in Hong Kong- seven years. He
(some people will say) built the technology post, launched the IT Daily and
then went back to take a stab at bringing the SCMP.COM to the next level.
I really gave a lot of expectations in his new role and keep up the great work in worldroom.com. |
