Food8 has WAP search engine, but...
Written by Shaq from Hong Kong on 8/20/2000

On the WAP platform, Food8 has WAP search engine on Orange but it doesn't work well. FoodEasy has search engine on Orange, CWHKT, Sunday and SmarTone. FoodEasy seems to be the only one with WAP discount coupons. |

Show8 Group laid off staff
Written by Jennice Yee from Hong Kong on 8/6/2000
|
The lack of recent content and update in show8 and food 8 is due to laid off staff. I heard from their internal staffs that show8 group couldn't manage to get second round investment nor able to list in GEM. They even having problems paying back the advertising fees. Sigh! |

I still like FoodEasy more...
Written by Jerry Kwow from Hong Kong on 8/3/2000

food8.com is simply a copycat of FoodEasy, food8.com launched almost 12 months behind when everybody in Hong Kong knows about FoodEasy. It's content is not innovative, nor its design (Crazy frame abuse with many JavaScript error). I predict it’s going to be next closing down “me too” dotcom after StarEastNet.com |

Excellent New Look and Wonderful Wine Database
Written by Bernard Chen from Hong Kong on 5/30/2000

The new look is very user friendly, and the speed has also been imptoved.
The most interesting thing is the wine database. You can see not only detail information of lots of red wines and white wines, but hear the real pronounciation of the French/European brand name by the famous model, Rosemary. |

Food8 changed my life
Written by Donald Mak from Hong Kong on 5/26/2000

My wife has kindly offered fast food for dinners for more than 2 years before she visted food8.com. Lisa Yam's online cooking videos activated her interest and provided her skills for cooking good chinese dishes.
But .... the cost is that she has moved my PC close to the kitchen... |

Great Receipe Databases
Written by Doria Lee from Hong Kong on 5/22/2000

Just input what you have in your fridge and food8.com 's Receipe database would show you what are the possible combinations and way to cook it step by step by descriptions, photos, and even videos by Lisa Yam.
In case you have nothing in your fridge, input your criteria in the food8.com's restuarant database, yon can definitely find a restuarant suitable for you. |
