High burn rate!

I still remember March8 giving out 400,000 copies of SKII mask back in year 2000, what a huge amount of money! If you compare what big listed company in HK giving out these days, dotcom companies were really generous! Hang Seng bank is only giving out a total of HK$150,000 for its mutual fund lucky draw this time. No wonder most of the women portal died early then it's expected life. |

I really like the redesigned March8 (very attractive Pinky site:-)), lots of newly content and comments about the cosmetics and health related topics. I am especially impressed with the Bonus point scheme that extend the loyalty of their members. Despite many women portal are now in problem, March8 is definitely growing and attract more visitors. |

I strongly recommend this site not only because March8 provides after-use comments on cosmetic products, more importantly, points can be accumulated for redeeming gifts free of charge for members. Even you sign-up as a member, you will get a gift that you won't regret! |

A good "failure" example!

There are many "good example" Hong Kong based dotcoms over spent in the past half year and now they are getting into trouble. March8.com is a good example. Spent so much money in giving free SKII samples in order to promote its Web site, they did boost up the register users (Cause Per Action), but will they come back again? NO...Why? It's because fundamentally speaking, March8 doesn't have good content such as CWOW or kisskat.com, as we can see, it's a huge waste of money just like TOM.COM. |
