Local dot-com rules!

Simply applying Western usability methodology to sites aimed at Asian audiences is likely to lead to unsatisfactory results. eBay Chinatown launched last year with high profile, but it's still can't beat the local ones in many regions in ASia. |

May be not in Hong Kong or Asia!

I admit that ebay is world's number online auction house, but when it comes to Hong Kong, it's much lagging behind than GO2HK.COM or RedDots. In additional, the poor graphics design and obviously it's done by "GuiLou" designer. All I want to point out that is ebay Chinatown is not the best when it stepped into Asia. |

Not a good entry time

eBay (US) is the number one auction site in the world, but when it comes to Hong Kong, the time is bad because there are more then a dozen local made auction sites that were set much early than eBay ChinaTown. Well, not to mention the Web site doesn't have enough items compare to GO2HK or RedDots, nor it's design is user friendly. I wouldn't recommend this site to Asian who are looking for a good auction site. |
