Although with the recent poor financial outlook for dotcoms and more especially hard hit are the entertainment sites due, I think Asiavibe has weathered very well by keepin up the high quality of songs and Artists. Keep up the good work and I'm sure the market will pick up. |

I had the fine pleasure of meeting with Asiavibe during a music conference in Hong Kong. I believe that their vision was clear, and that they had the heart to make positive changes for the industry. I seldom would comment on web sites like this but I do hope that Asiavibe will do well for the days ahead. |

This site deserves credit

Actually, I was surfing the music section and read most of the comments posted here. I found there is a lot of competition and bitterness in the comments I read. Why be so opinionated? Independent musicians are always unheard of at first but if you really think carefully, they are the grassroots and the future of new emerging superstars. The only reason why you hear pop artists is because the record labels are marketing them to you with the media. |

While those free MP3 are readily available on the Net and who's going to look at those new comers, especially if you ask them to pay. I really don't think any of the pay-per-view music download site going to last. |

Not Fair to others!
Written by Richard Dilion from Hong Kong on 12/4/2000

The Asia Week's award still needs to earn some credibility to be considered the regional industry's standard. Many people felt that the winner asiavibe.com cannot represent the true Industry standard. Better one such as PlanetMG and SoundBuzz.com were even counted. |

Award winner doesn't mean it's the best!
Written by Jaiyaho Segio from Hong Kong on 12/4/2000

So what asiavibe.com win the Asia Week's award? Many people haven’t even heard about the name of asiavibe.com in Asia. The criterion of selection by Asia Week is really questionable and may be knowing the judge or the editor of Asia Week really helped a lot in getting the award. Simple not a recognized achievement and a failure business model in short form. |

I am inclined to comment because I was very happy to see an Asian music presence on the internet. They have done a great job at presenting Asian music for the rest of the world. |

Great Collection of Bands
Written by Kim Hui from Singapore on 11/12/2000

This is the first site that really gives bands and independent musicians a chance to display their music. I myself am a musician and felt that in the past, the music scene was controlled by a few major players and we always had to play their game. Now, I think the Internet will explode and expand into a forum where all voices can be heard. |
