Direction isn't clear!
Written by Abbey Rally from Singapore on 2/28/2001

To me, gogo.com is just another music download/promotion site. It doesn't have a biz direction, much less a profitable product. Btw, how many of those similar site are currently making money? None. The idea isn't new, but again, I do agree with previous comment that it takes more than courage to start a dotcom in the current situation. |

P2P way to earn revenue
Written by Gary Norman from Hong Kong on 2/27/2001

Online music's increasing share of the industry will be driven partly by technology. We can already download free music, use P2P (peer-to-peer) exchanges that cut out the intermediary server, download music-file ring tones and listen to personalized Net radio. |

Still need to improve!

I heard this site because a recent promotion from IandIAsia. I visited the site and learned their CTO previously worked for CDNOW.COM. To be honest, the interface doesn't seem to be attractive, nor the functionalities is outstanding. However, I do respect the founder took out his own money and build this music portal. |

Another P2P Naspter model?
Written by J. Chan from Hong Kong on 2/20/2001

What's this site? Is this another P2P Naspter model? or this is one of those music download site like asiavibe.com? Seemed to me that the famous composer Mr. Hui is on board as the director, but after browsing for 5 minutes, I still don't get what this site is about. Btw, the site navigation has a fundamental problem, there are too many clicks, which really discourage visitors to further explore the content and also abusively used flash (they should be there for a purpose, not effect) |

Get Gogo

This is definitely the best site I've seen in Asia. I'm a musician and also work in the music industry - Gogo is a great place to find everything from Jennifer Lopez to the latest unheard punk band from Kowloon with only a demo CD to their name.
The overall design is excellent with flash and html they've got a distinctive brand of a cartoon guy that dances around. Just click and he'll take you to wherever you want to go.
This is the kind of site I really like totally interactive. |
