Green Management

“How can you make money”, “What’s the coming on-line shopping project”, etc. These questions aren’t really answered. I worked in a well known Hong Kong based VC firm and we only look at management and the business model. Soson.com’s business model is way too old and management is too green without much business sense. Just wonder how Mr. Lui get these guys for interview in the first place?

I watched the interview from 10:00 to 11:00PM on Metro104 Web site, I noticed their COO Stanley just sit there during the whole interview (seemed he’s very green) and didn't any question, KK did all the defense from Mr. Chung. (btw, Chung really pressed hard on them this time). Ms. Lui seemed never understood how soson’s different from others. KK, you didn’t really answer “You guys are input the related keywords manually”, “How can you make money”...

Great Idea

I didn't know much about Soson until I listened to the GoForIt Interview last night. The 2 young professionals' search technology idea impress me; and their confidnece also impress Miss Lui too. I try soson.com then, and find that I can get an accurate search result every time. This new search method can help people like me who don't know how to type Chinese.

I watched the interview on Metro104 tonight, it was quite an embarrassed one for the CEO KK Yuen and COO Stanley. The hosts were not friendly and asked many questions regarding their business model and they can’t answer most of them. Ms. Lui really got confused about his answer. IMOO, I think soson.com is incompetent and KK still claimed the brand Soson meaning “God of Search Engine”, please give me a break. They should sharpen their personal skills before going for interview.

It will return results very close to what you are looking for. If they can't find your search, they will tell you "we will try to look for this search for you, come back in few days..." (Although there is no guarntee they will find your search) very good service! I think this is a very good engine especially for Chinese people, because other search engine's target are mainly on English communities. Also, the layout of the site is simple and clear.

The design and interface is user-friendly. The speed is OK. And the search result also better than others. But soson.com is too late to come to market, even it is better than others. God bless soson.com.

Everything is ok, but not well-known

I like Soson personally, but I think they are not in the good time to roll out this service, because most of the venture capitalist cut investment in B2C or ICP models. I wonder how can Soson spent a great deal of money for promotion, because their model definitely need to build a strong model before attracting massive users.

Although database of soson is still small and its brand still not popular, links is nice and the design is funny. but still far to be famous in hongkong, as Sina and yahoo are too strong! That's why Timway kept quiet in this year, may be!
