Not Bad!
Written by Alan Tam from Hong Kong on 12/28/2001

The layout of StarEast has a very easy and self-describing navigation without dead-ends. It also has the same look in Internet-Explorer and Netscape Navigator, though content still needs improvement.

Very updated star news!

Stareast is doing very well this days after it acquired the newspaper Sing Pao. We can see more and more exclusive interview and news added to the site daily and many attractive prize to be won each month. I particularly crazy about the real-time chat with my idols on Stareast, I think it's my dream come true. Good Job! |

Copycat?
Written by Mango from Hong Kong on 11/10/2001

Judging from the creativity of their entertainment production, Stareast certainly have a lot to catch up on the web site, the new look and the feel somehow is another copycat from she.com, sigh! |

Nice Design, but Looked Familiar!

I like the new look of Star East, but somehow I've seen the similar one somewhere, ah...it's she.com! Nevertheless, the user interface is much improved now and there are lots of exclusive Leon Lai video free of charges! Cool! Finally, I would like to suggest, how come a listed company such as Star East doesn't even have a proper domain name as stareast.com? So embarrassing! |

Still looked like copied
Written by Jimmy Chu from Hong Kong on 7/20/2001

I don't know what's wrong with StarEast's production team, why the site still looked copied from somewhere else (she.com) and the content is not updated at all. Considering its high price for the development, the shareholders will definitely be very disappointed. |

Another copycat of she.com!

StarEast has really no future! I can't believe such a HKSE listed company copied the layout from she.com. Shame on you! |

Slow updates these days

I really wonder how many staff StarEast have? How come their entertainment news is always lagging behind other competitors. Seemed simply putting all pop stars in a big circle don't work in the end. Wish them very best, good luck and good bye! Btw, I don't understand why two of its sub sites get nominated on HK Webmasters Association's award, making everything think it's kind of "Making Horse"! |

Charging model.
Written by Anita from Hong Kong on 2/28/2001

Asian's net browser has been over-spoiled. From the consumer point of view, the freedom of surfing from site to site without ever reaching for one's wallet is about to end. I am sure Star East is going to charge for the exclusive content very soon in order to cover its huge debt. |

It's not working!
Written by Ben Lee from Hong Kong on 8/13/2000

If Stareastnet works it will be for one reason only - the Hong Kong population know nothing about artistic talent and are about as individualistic as a grain of sand. |
